What’s Inside

Electric Guitar for Left-Handed Adults – Books 1 & 2 is a combination of two books: Book 1 is for the absolute beginner and covers your first steps like playing standard open-string chords (G, C, D, A and E Major, as well as A and E Minor). Then you’ll combine those chords with basic rhythms in the exercises. When you’re ready, play your first whole songs with those same chords and rhythms. Also, learn to set up your amp, dial in its EQ and get the best sound. In the same chapter, we de-mystify common effects pedals, explaining their use and how to combine them if you’d like to use an effects pedal chain. Book 2 is for adult students with some experience playing basic chords; introducing major barre chords, minor barre chords and 7th chords. These songs are a bit more challenging and introduce power chords, arpeggios and octaves as a way to spice up your rhythm guitar parts. And without going in too deep, we’ve also included a brief introduction to soloing.
